ELEVATING GODIVA'S BRAND PRESENCE ON INSTAGRAM
DEVELOPING A SOCIAL MEDIA CAMPAIGN

INTRODUCTION
Godiva, renowned for its premium chocolates, has established itself as a symbol of luxury and indulgence (Figure 1). With a legacy of crafting exquisite chocolates that have captured the hearts of chocolate enthusiasts worldwide, Godiva continues to be a beacon of elegance in the confectionery industry. This week, I'm excited to focus on further strengthening Godiva's brand positioning and deepening engagement with our discerning and cherished customers. To achieve this, I am developing a comprehensive one-week social media campaign centered on Instagram. Given the platform's ideal environment for showcasing visually appealing products and connecting with our target market in a meaningful way, Instagram presents the perfect stage for elevating Godiva's brand presence to new heights.

WHY INSTAGRAM?
Instagram's prominence as a marketing platform stems from its visually-driven nature and expansive user base, which exceeds one billion active users (Keutelian, 2024). This vast audience includes a significant portion of our target demographics, sophisticated adults aged 25 and older, primarily women, who engage with luxury and gourmet experiences (Similarweb, 2024). Additionally, millennials and Gen Z, who exhibit a strong affinity for luxury goods and indulgent experiences, are prevalent on the platform (Keutelian, 2024).
Moreover, Instagram's versatile features, including Reels, Stories, and Static Posts, provide us with a plethora of tools to create diverse and engaging content that resonates with our audience. Notably, Mary Keutelian's insights on the best times to post on Instagram in 2024 highlight that "Instagram’s visual nature makes it a desirable marketing platform for brands to get their offerings in front of as many eyes as possible," emphasizing the platform's potential for brand visibility and engagement (Keutelian, 2024). Furthermore, Keutelian notes that "Instagram ties with Facebook for the social media platforms that offer marketers the highest ROI at 29%," underscoring the significant return on investment, a factor that further solidifies its appeal for brands like Godiva (Keutelian, 2024). With such compelling advantages, leveraging Instagram presents an invaluable opportunity for Godiva to enhance brand visibility, engage with our audience, and drive meaningful results.
ONE-WEEK INSTAGRAM CAMPAIGN SCHEDULE
The one-week Instagram campaign, named "Godiva's Daily Delight," is meticulously designed to leverage the platform's features to create a cohesive and engaging narrative around Godiva's products. I have chosen a specific timeframe based on Keutelian's research, which indicates that the best times to post on Instagram are weekdays between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m., with peak engagement times on Fridays at 11 a.m. (Keutelian, 2024). This aligns perfectly with Godiva's posting schedule, ensuring maximum visibility and interaction with our audience (Keutelian, 2024). Choosing to plan Godiva's posting schedule with the HubSpot content calendar with its comprehensive features that streamline the content planning process, allows us to efficiently organize, schedule, and manage our social media posts (Figure 2) (HubSpot Marketing, 2021).

CURATED CONTENT FOR GODIVA'S INSTAGRAM
Through a careful curation of captivating visuals, engaging captions, and interactive features such as Reels and Stories, our campaign seeks to immerse our audience in the luxurious world of Godiva, evoking emotions of desire, indulgence, and delight. Each piece of content is thoughtfully designed to showcase the exquisite craftsmanship and premium quality synonymous with the Godiva brand, thereby fostering a profound connection with chocolate enthusiasts worldwide. Furthermore, our campaign is not merely focused on generating likes and follows but rather on driving meaningful engagement and conversions. By integrating strategic calls-to-action and leveraging Instagram's analytics tools, we can track and analyze user interactions, allowing us to refine our approach in real-time and maximize the effectiveness of our campaign.
LINKING MESSAGES AND DRIVING CONVERSION
To maximize the impact of our Instagram campaign, each piece of content will link back to Godiva's website and other social media platforms. For instance, our Instagram bio will include a link to our latest blog post or special offers page, inviting our audience to immerse themselves in the indulgent world of Godiva. Instagram Stories will feature "Swipe Up" links or "Link in Bio" prompts directing users to our website for more information or to make a purchase. Static posts will be adorned with compelling calls to action in the captions, encouraging followers to click the link in our bio. This approach ensures that our audience is continuously directed to our website, facilitating seamless transitions from social media engagement to potential purchases. Moreover, cross-promoting Godiva's Instagram content on Facebook and X will help maintain consistent messaging across all platforms, driving traffic and engagement from multiple sources. By sharing our Instagram Reels and Stories on these platforms, we ensure that our audience, regardless of their preferred social media channel, remains engaged and connected to Godiva’s luxurious world.

Our meticulously crafted one-week Instagram-focused campaign is designed to elevate Godiva’s brand presence by leveraging the platform’s powerful visual storytelling capabilities. Through compelling content, a strategic posting schedule, and seamless content linking across platforms, we aim to create a captivating narrative that deeply resonates with our target market. Ultimately, our overarching goal is to strengthen the bond with our audience, cultivating a community of passionate chocolate aficionados who share in our appreciation for the finer things in life. By delivering an unparalleled sensory experience through our Instagram-focused campaign, we further solidify Godiva's legacy as a beacon of indulgence and sophistication in the world of luxury chocolates.
